Bronson Re-verified as Level I Trauma Center October 28, 2011 KALAMAZOO, Mich. –Bronson Methodist Hospital was recently re-verified by the American College of Surgeons (ACS) as a Level I Trauma Center. Level I, the highest category of verification, is granted only after a thorough on-site review to confirm the hospital is providing the highest quality trauma care for all injured patients. Bronson has successfully met the ACS’s increasingly difficult re-verification standards every three years since it became the region’s first Level I Trauma Center in 1989. Bronson Receives Highest Level of Chest Pain Accreditation December 06, 2010 The Bronson Methodist Hospital Chest Pain Emergency Center received the highest possible level of accreditation from the Society of Chest Pain Centers (SCPC) -- Cycle III Accredited Chest Pain Center with PCI (percutaneous coronary interventions). This accreditation was announced on Dec. 2 and is valid through Oct. 14, 2014. Bronson is one of 10 hospitals in Michigan to receive this highest level of accreditation. New Study Ranks Bronson in Nation's Top 5% for Emergency Medical Care June 23, 2010 KALAMAZOO, Mich. — HealthGrades, a leading independent healthcare ratings organization, announced today that Bronson Methodist Hospital is one of just 255 hospitals in the nation, and the only one in southwest Michigan, ranked in the nation's top 5% for emergency medical care.
